Ta-da!

I shared with my son today that we all have something God gave us uniquely as our purpose. Only we can fulfill our purpose. Each of us have something unique that someone else needs. That’s powerful!
On some days I feel so motivated to spread love and let Christ just radiate through me like the Care Bears! And then I have some days where I start to feel like my feet are dragging and I forget my purpose or maybe I feel like I haven’t had the big reveal of my life changing purpose....TA DA!
We know that from Saul’s encounter with God in Acts 9 that he was instantaneously changed. Within the hour of having his vision restored, he was preaching in the same place he planned to persecute the Christians. God can and will use who he wants and many times it’s with someone who has been transformed radically. I beat myself up over waiting until I was in my 30s to follow Christ but then I think of Paul.
And though Paul’s story is just really cool, the thing I am learning is that many times our purpose isn’t where we serve in church or what we do in our big life moments.... but how we impact people and allow God to use us along our journey.
I also feel like the enemy knows this and he uses distractions and selfish motives to keep us from discovering this best kept secret. Serving others. Loving others. Blessing others.
Philippians 2:4 The Passion Translation
4 Abandon every display of selfishness. Possess a greater concern for what matters to others instead of your own interests.
God help me to unveil any selfish desires of my heart and create in me a servant heart!
