Falling in Love

Jars of Clay wrote Love Song for a Savior: "Someday she'll trust Him and learn how to see Him.  Someday He'll call her and she will come running and fall in his arms and the tears will fall down and she'll pray. I want to fall in love with you!" God created us in his image and for relationships.  But more than anything else I believe he wants us to have relationship with Him.  Why would we not chase after Him? Scripture indicates that Mary Magdelene had been delivered by seven demons in her encounter with Jesus.  She then, dedicated her life to follow Jesus going on to witness his crucifixion, was present at his burial, and the first to witness His resurrection.  Dedication.  She fell in love. There is a pivotal moment (someday) where we trust Him and learn how to see Him.  It is here that we really learn how to position our heart to worship God in a way that we have never experienced.  It makes us wake up in the morning smiling because of the God we serve and the overwhelming love we have for him.  It will overflow from our hearts and pour into the life of those around us.  We will live without fear and the chains that held us captive will shatter and fall to the ground. It is not enough to know about Jesus. Jesus, Help me to wake up every morning with a thirst to know you more than I did yesterday.  Don't let me be complacent or grow lukewarm.  I want to chase after you and fall in love every day.

Matthew 22:37 The Passion Translation Jesus answered him, "Love the Lord your God with every passion of your heart, with all the energy of your being, and with every thought that is within you."
