Omni

When our children are little, sometimes they cling to us and we remind them as we whisper in their ear...”I’m right here”. It’s that sweet security that we provide our children. Sometimes if I lay down with Major as he falls asleep at night, he will turn his sweet head to just make sure I’m still there.
This week I have cried out several times “God be with me”. Sometimes for the big things and even for the little things (which I think it’s so cool that God cares about the smallest details of our lives).
I was reading about God being Omnipresent, Omniscient, and Omnipotent. Omni is from the Latin root “all”. Meaning God is everywhere, knows everything, and holds all the power do what we believe is impossible.
God is always near. I don’t need to ask him to be with me because he IS with me. And he’s with my family. He knows everything so I don’t need to worry about tomorrow. And he holds all the power so when I feel like I have reached a dead end, he is there with a bulldozer to create my path....or maybe he shows me a different path.
God is literally building me up from scratch, creating in me a new heart. I am his daughter whose hand he holds as he walks me through this jungle called life.
From the heart of a girl who felt like she could take on the world, I am releasing my control to the One who knows better than I. I am resting in the security of my Father in heaven.
Psalms 145:3
Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; His greatness no one can fathom.
